(Al-Munafiqoon) 63 : 3
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ آمَنُوا ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا فَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
That is because they believed, then disbelieved, then upon their hearts are sealed, then they won’t understand the aim of life.
Since the Hypocrites believed first and later they hid their belief so that Allah put seal upon their hearts. See explanation 4: 137; 6: 24-25; and 7: 179.
